Lash Perfect Beauty Bar London - My Lash Extension Experience

It’s time to talk about LASHES. I love doing eye makeup and I spend a lot of time on this part of my face. Day to day I’ll chuck on a slick of mascara for work but on a night out I want that dramatic volume look so have been using strip lashes for aaaaaages. The problem for me with strip lashes is that my eyes are quite sensitive so the lash glue can start to rub off, meaning the lash does too - and no one likes being wine drunk in a club toilet, with half a lash hanging off ruining their perfectly winged eye. Nope. Enter The Lash Perfect Beauty Bar….

Nestled in the heart of Soho, the Lash Perfect Beauty Bar specialises in eyelash extensions, using only the best Lash Perfect lashes, but also offers brows, nails and makeup services. Upon arrival I was greeted with a glass of prosecco, branded Sugar Tits lollipops and a place to charge my phone, they’re clearly ‘doing it for the gram’ and I’m kinda living for it.

Now for the best part... I went for Russian Volume lashes because these lashes are ‘fluffy’ and the technique means that more than one synthetic lash is applied to a single natural lash. Although more pricey, this option creates a fuller voluminous look which is what I like.

I’m not going to lie, it’s taken me a few appointments to understand the exact type of lash style I prefer, everyone has a different eye shape and different lash lengths and curls suit some people better. For example, I like mine wispy and scattered in length, but other clients may want a ‘cat-eye’ look (starting small and increasing in length towards the outer eye). Saying this, your lash technician should talk all the options through with you and will be able to advise what they think will work best at first.

Let's take a look at my before...

And now my after....

My lash technician used C Curl Lash Perfect lashes ranging between lengths 8mm and 13mm. I asked for ‘Kardashain Style Lashes which have longer lashes scattered across the lash line to create that wispy look. Take a look at their Instagram @LP_BeautyBar and you can browse the other styles of lashes that they can create for you!

Finally, I’ve rounded up a couple of aftercare tips which are vital to making those lashes last…

Don’t use oil based cleansers and and makeup products!

Oil can break down the glue bonds which means your lashes will simply just fall out. Lash Perfect have a wide range of makeup and makeup removal products that are safe to use with lash extensions.

Brush your lashes daily

We’ve all seen the video from Love Island, where Dani was BLOW DRYING her lashes. No need to do this, just simply brush them in the morning, evening and whenever they get wet (yes you can put your face under the shower and they won’t fall out)! Just be careful not to rub, pull, or pick the extensions.

If you have any questions about lash extensions, shoot them my way! More than happy to help.
