Revlon - Photo Ready Insta-filter Foundation Review

Whether it be full vs light coverage or dewy vs matte, foundation is simply a staple in any makeup look. When it comes to mine, I’m quite set it my ways with what I use because I have very dry skin which doesn’t sit well with most foundations. However, Revlon were kind enough to send me across their new Insta-Filter foundation to try so here are my thoughts.

It comes in a swanky bottle with a sponge on top - it almost looks like a giant contour stick, which you swivel round to release product. Personally I haven’t been using the sponge, because I can’t disown my trusted Morphe Brushes but whether you choose to use it or not, it’s the formula that’s the standout feature here. It’s a creamy texture which actually blends very well and doesn’t seem to cake over drier areas (which I usually have problems with). I could do with it being slightly more hydrating though, but using a primer and mixing in some liquid highlighter drops gives me that glowy finish which I love.

The only downside to this product is that it’s not very long lasting. I’m up at 5.30am and home at 7pm most days and found myself having to top it up around 2pm, so I’d probably have to re-do some of my face if I want to go for some drinks after work. I guess commuting through London and sweating off most of my face probably doesn’t help the staying power, but it’s perfect for a night out, because it really does smooth out and brighten your complexion (like you’ve got an insta-filter on!)

You can get this product from Superdrug or Boots for £12.99. Let me know what you think if you give it a go!
