MAC Burgundy Times Nine Review

Winter is coming and for me this means changing up my makeup, especially eyeshadow colours which is where I like to experiment the most. My go to colours are warm brown and burgundy tones and since I’m hitting the pan on most of my Urban Decay Naked Palettes, I thought I'd experiment with MAC. Burgundy Times Nine is the perfect addition to any makeup collection with 9 curated textures, from matte to satin to frost. Times Nine also comes in Navy, Purple and Amber but this one is my fave.

One thing I should note about these shadows is that they aren’t full sized, they’re only 0.8g compared to the 1.5g standard MAC single eyeshadow, but this palette is a perfect mini sized addition to any makeup collection. Plus most of these shades are permanent within the MAC eyeshadow collections, so you can pick up a full sized version if you decide you REALLY love one.

The shadows in this palette are as shown:
Honey Lust - (permanent)
Poppyseed
Quarry - (permanent)
Antiqued - (permanent)
Embark - (permanent)
 #Noir
Haux - (permanent)
Star Violet - (permanent)
Sketch - (permanent)

I’ve tried and tested this palette and so far I love it. The pigmentation is second to none and they are super 'blendable'. The key to using these shadows is to use fluffy blending brushes to get even transitions between shades and my go to staples are the Zoeva 227 & 228. Retailing at around £30, this MAC palette is definitely worth the investment. I can create natural daytime looks and transition to deep smoky eyes for the evening, it's definitely being kept in my desk drawer for those day to night office looks! Get yours from Debenhams here
