My favourite Palmers body care products right now

Skin care and body care is something that I always try to keep up. During the summer, I’m always applying body creams and oils and exfoliating (to keep that tan up) but in the winter sometimes I can get lazy… I mean hello, your whole body is covered so why bother keeping the pins looking silky smooth…  #hibernationmode.

I’ve always been a fan of the cult Cocoa Butter by Palmers. As a teenager I struggled with stretch marks on my thighs as I grew outwards quite quickly, I always used a mix of Cocoa Butter and Bio Oil to help reduce the appearance of my stretch marks, but now I’m older and more confident, I’m not fussed about my marks. Using Bio Oil daily is an EXPENSIVE habit to keep up, but using Palmers Cocoa Butter stuck with me - simply because it makes my skin feel so good (and smells delish).

More recently they’ve jumped on the ‘Coconut Oil Fixes Everything’ trend and have developed a line infused with the good stuff, so I’ve been trying out some of the bits from their range…

Coconut Oil Body Lotion

Firstly, this smells divine. Probs because it's made from Coconut Oil and Tahitian Monoï Oil, infused with Tiaré flower petals. I literally smell like a tropical island. Dream. It also contains high levels of naturally occurring fatty acids that are essential in keeping skin radiant and healthy looking. I try to use it straight after every shower when my skin is slightly damp, as in my opinion this helps the product work better into the skin.

Exfoliating is 100% key to smooth skin, especially before tanning! It's key to ensuring a smooth canvas so you don't get dodgy tan build up on your ankles and elbows (horrendous). I've been using this 3 times a week in the shower - along with exfoliating gloves (for extra smooth skin). It's formulated with Raw Coconut Sugar which isn't too harsh on the skin like many artificial products can be.  It also smells divine just like everything else in the range.

Coconut Oil Natural Bronze Body Lotion

Finally, a tanning product that doesn't smell like biscuits and also doesn't leave you looking like you've just finished a mud run. I like to use this every other day just to give myself a lil glow without any patches or the worry that if it rains I'm going to leave a trial of brown behind me. Do use a tanning glove though, as although not an instant tan, it can build up on your palms if not properly washed off.

So if you love inexpensive body care that actually works with no added nasties, I would 100% recommend giving the Palmers Coconut Oil range a go .

Lots of love,

Em x
